This is me, hitchhiking in Tajikistan, with some interested kids around me.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣
The children in Tajikistan are cool. They all wave happily and give high fives when you pass by in a car.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
These kids were checking out what I was doing. They whispered to each other about me, they probably had no idea what I was doing.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I waited here for about 40 minutes when the first car came and luckily gave me a lift.
⁣⁣⁣
In the background, on the other side of the river, it’s Afghanistan.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This was the first day after 3 days with the Mongol Rally cars. I decided to take the most southern road further along the Afghanistan border (Wakhan valley). ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This road is even more remote, but beautiful as well! I heard stories of other hitchhikers who waited here for 8 hours. ⁣

So I was a bit nervous. But prepared for the worst. To be continued…⁣
