This fire crater is located in the middle of the desert in Turkmenistan. It’s called ‘The door to hell”. I hitchhiked a Turkmenian truck as close as possible to the crater. But it was getting late and already dark. I was afraid I had to walk two hours from the main road to the crater in the night. But luckily there was a local guy on a motorbike who was more than happy to take me there for a few bucks. I pitched the tent close to the crater and spent the night there.
